Social Value: Making maximally public the Academies' reports to guide
better decisions, fuller
understandings, and broader perspectives. Better-informed bureaucrats,
officials, and
politicians make better decisions (or have less cover for bad ones).
Better-informed people make better citizens.
How does that drive NAP?
Toward broader access, enhanced personalization, applied
experimentation, and a more
interesting expansion of our mission.
